Nepali construction verbs follow consistent patterns. Study these structures to start forming your own sentences.





Pattern 1 — Command / Instruction

Structure: [Object] + [Verb in infinitive form]

Kaath kaatnu — Cut the wood.

Itta osaarnu — Carry the bricks.

Dhaar laaunu — Sharpen the blade.





Pattern 2 — Present Continuous (Currently doing)

Structure: [Subject] + [Object] + [Verb stem + dai chha / chhan]

Ma kaath kaatdai chhu — I am cutting wood.

Karmiharule jug khandai chhan — The workers are digging the foundation.





Pattern 3 — Past Tense (Already done)

Structure: [Subject] + [Object] + [Verb stem + yo / e]
