Stylistics & Formal Writing  ·  Intermediate Nepali

According to शैलीविज्ञान (Stylistics), language changes depending on situation. We use different writing styles for different contexts — formal writing for official work, spoken style for daily conversation, and literary style for creative work. In this lesson we focus on two essential formal writing skills.

Situation Style Example
Official / school work Formal style Letters, reports
Everyday conversation Spoken style Casual talk
Stories, poems Literary style Creative writing
Key Principle — Good writing means using the right style at the right time.
