In this video, we’ll talk about the most common mistakes learners make while speaking Nepali — and how to fix them! Whether you’re a beginner or already speaking some Nepali, this lesson will help you sound more natural, fluent, and confident.
When learning any new language, small errors are completely normal. For example, many beginners mix up ‘ma’ and ‘malai’, or forget to use the right postpositions like ‘maa’ and ‘maa bata’. Others struggle with verb endings — saying ‘ma jaanchhu’ correctly but forgetting to change it to ‘u jaanchha’ or ‘hami jaanchhau’.
Another common mistake is using English sentence structure when speaking Nepali. Remember — Nepali follows the subject–object–verb order. So instead of saying ‘I eat rice’, you should say ‘ma bhaat khanchhu’.
