In this lesson, you will learn popular Nepali slang words and expressions commonly used in everyday conversations. This lesson helps you understand informal Nepali language, making it easier to communicate with native speakers and understand modern conversations, social media, and casual speech.

Slang words like Solti, Gufgaf, and Jhyau are for casual use only. Knowing when not to use slang is just as important as knowing the words themselves.
Nepali speakers have many slang words for expressing praise — Gajjab, Daami, Babaal, Jhakas, Kada. Each has a slightly different flavour and strength of emphasis.
Several slang terms — Hi-Fi, Set, Tight, Last — are English words used with new Nepali meanings. This shows how modern Nepali is constantly evolving through cultural influence.
The best way to remember slang is to use it in real conversations. Try greeting a friend with “K chha solti?” or commenting on something with “Yo last ramro chha!” today.
