Definition:
The past continuous tense is used to describe an action that was happening at a specific time in the past. It often shows that the action was ongoing when another action occurred or that two actions were happening at the same time.

Structure:
Subject + was/were + verb (-ing) + object//विषय + थियो/थिए + क्रियापद (-ing) + वस्तु/(Vishaya + thiyo/thie + kriyapad (-ing) + vastu)
- Singular subjects (I, he, she, it) → Use was
- Plural subjects (you, we, they) → Use were
- Example:
- She was cooking dinner.
- They were playing football.
