Verb Conjugation of “To come”

In Nepali, the verb “to come” is आउनु (aaunu). Here is the conjugation of “to come” in different tenses with the sentence structure:

Present Tense

Structure: Subject + Verb Root + Auxiliary Verb

  • I come: म आउँछु (ma aaunchu)
  • You (informal) come: तँ आउँछस् (tã aaunchas)
  • You (formal) come: तिमी आउँछौ (timi aaunchau) / तपाईं आउनुहुन्छ (tapai aaunuhunchha)
  • He/She comes: ऊ आउँछ (u aaunchha) / उनी आउनुहुन्छ (uni aaunuhunchha)

Past Tense

  • I am coming: म आउँदै छु (ma aaudai chu)
  • You (informal) are coming: तँ आउँदै छस् (tã aaudai chas)
  • You (formal) are coming: तिमी आउँदै छौ (timi aaudai chau) / तपाईं आउँदै हुनुहुन्छ (tapai aaudai hunuhunchha)
  • He/She is coming: ऊ आउँदै छ (u aaudai chha) / उहाँ आउँदै हुनुहुन्छ (uhaa aaudai hunuhunchha)

Perfect Tense

Structure: Subject + Verb Root + “सकेको” + Auxiliary Verb

  • I have come: म आइसकेको छु (ma aaisegeko chu)
  • You (informal) have come: तँ आइसकेको छस् (tã aaisegeko chas)
  • You (formal) have come: तिमी आइसकेको छौ (timi aaisegeko chau) / तपाईं आइसकेको हुनुहुन्छ (tapai aaisegeko hunuhunchha)
  • He/She has come: ऊ आइसकेको छ (u aaisegeko chha) / उहाँ आइसकेको हुनुहुन्छ (uhaa aaisegeko hunuhunchha)
